On October 5, 2024, the Lehigh Valley Music Teachers Association welcomed students of 11 of our members to Moravian University to take part in our local Dorothy Sutton Performance Festival.
Students began to arrive at 8:30 am in order to take the mandatory theory exam. Throughout the day, students performed 2 memorized pieces for one of our 5 judges. Judges assigned Superior, Excellent, or Good ratings for all of our students based upon their performance.
Students who received a Superior rating and received an 85% or higher on their theory test are eligible to participate in the State Dorothy Sutton Performance Festival, which will be held on November 9, 2024 at Lebanon Valley College. There, they will perform in one of the many recitals held on campus that day.
The committee distributed 109 ribbons throughout the day! Thank you so much to those who participated!
